Who is responsible
La Casa de Satoshi is responsible for the personal data it collects to operate this website and handle requests we receive. Our contact address is Giorgione 55, Ciudad de México, México.
For privacy matters, email lacasadesatoshi@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy”. This notice covers the website and its newsletter; event registration and external services may have additional notices.
The data we use
Newsletter: your email address, the language chosen for confirmation, and records needed to verify subscriptions, deliver messages, and honor unsubscribes. Resend manages contacts and delivery. When open or click tracking is enabled for a campaign, it may also record those interactions; opens may be detected using remote images.
Contact: the name, email address, and content you choose to send us, and information needed to handle your inquiry. Do not send passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or sensitive information through these channels. The newsletter form does not request sensitive data or payment card information.
Browsing and security: hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requests, and technical logs. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile uses technical signals to detect automated form submissions.
Analytics: the website loads Google Analytics when you visit and processes browsing information such as pages visited, interactions, device information, and approximate location. The cookie notice is informational: “Got it” dismisses it and saves that acknowledgment in your browser; it does not enable or disable analytics.
Why we use it
Necessary purposes are answering inquiries, handling requests, confirming subscriptions you request, maintaining the website, and preventing abuse. Sending us an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter.
Newsletter delivery is optional and starts after you confirm your subscription by email. We use browsing analytics to understand and improve website use; it does not depend on dismissing the cookie notice. You do not need to subscribe to the newsletter to read the content.
Newsletter, cookies, and your choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter or by emailing us. We keep a minimal unsubscribe record to avoid sending you messages again by mistake. Unsubscribing does not itself erase a message you already received.
We use analytics cookies and technologies for security and language. The notice links to this information and has a “Got it” button that only dismisses it. We remember dismissal until you clear browser storage. The website does not offer an analytics selector; you can limit cookies and tracking using browser controls.
You can block remote images in your email app and manage cookies or storage in your browser. Choices on this website do not change preferences on external platforms you visit.
Providers and external services
We use providers for hosting, email delivery and contact management (Resend), form protection (Cloudflare, when configured), and analytics (Google). These providers may process data outside Mexico, including in the United States, under applicable terms and agreements. We do not sell your subscriber list or share it with sponsors for their own marketing.
Following a link to Luma, social networks, wallets, or other services takes you to a platform governed by its own notice. Luma may collect event registration and payment information, and organizers may receive information needed to administer the event. This website does not request card details or hold your keys or funds.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to valid authority requests, or protect rights, limiting it to the relevant purpose. If an additional use or transfer requires your consent, we will ask first.
Retention and protection
We retain data as needed for the relevant purpose: newsletter contacts while subscribed; minimal unsubscribe records to honor that choice; inquiries while being handled and for the period needed for obligations or follow-up. Providers keep technical and delivery logs according to their retention periods and settings; you can ask us about your case.
We limit access to people who need the information for their work and use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No internet-connected service offers absolute security. If an incident significantly affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Your rights and how to exercise them
You can request access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition (ARCO rights), withdraw consent, or limit use and disclosure by emailing lacasadesatoshi@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy / ARCO”. Include your name, a way to reply, the data involved, and your request. For corrections, explain what should change.
To protect your information, we may request what is needed to verify identity or representation through an agreed channel. Do not send official identity documents in your first message. We will handle requests within applicable legal periods and explain any extension, required retention, or reason a request cannot be fulfilled. Withdrawal does not apply retroactively.
If you believe your rights have not been addressed, you may contact the competent Mexican personal data protection authority. This notice does not limit rights granted by applicable law.
Minors and event images
The newsletter is intended for adults. If you are a minor, ask a parent or guardian to contact us before providing data. If we learn that a minor's data was provided without necessary authorization, we will review the case and take appropriate action.
The website displays community photographs. If you appear in an image and have a request about its use, contact us with the page and image. Attending an event does not by itself authorize every use of your likeness; any specific organizer notice should be explained separately.
Changes to this notice
We will publish changes here and update the date. If processing purposes materially change, we will notify you through available channels and request new consent when required.
